Berlusconi is back

This picture is from February 2006. Two years later Silvio Berlusconi, leader of the newly formed Popolo della Libertà (People of Freedom party), is once again prime minister of Italy, his third term in office. One of his first tasks will be to tackle Naples' rubbish crisis. He says he will be there 3 days a week in order to solve it.

The result was as follows:

Camera dei deputati (Chamber of Deputies)

Centre Right

  • Il Popolo della Libertà (People of Freedom) - 284
  • Movimento per le Autonomie (Autonomy Movement) - 9
  • Lega Nord (Northern League) - 47

Total - 340 seats

Centre Left

  • Partito Democratico (Democratic Party) - 210
  • Italia dei Valori (Italy of Values) - 31

Total - 241 seats

Others

  • Unione di Centro (Centrist UDC) - 34
  • Others - 3

Senato della Repubblica (Senate)
